Our new baby has entered the world, Madeline Grace Gadberry.  She was born at 9:53 A.M. on February 17th, 2010.  She is 19″ long and approx. 7lbs 11oz.  Ive put up some pictures for family and friends to see! Enjoy! (Comment and whatnot.  The password is her nickname (m|a|d|d|i|e without the |’s, stupid spammers…).

Update Feb. 17th, 10:00 p.m.: Maddie is off the astronaut helmet! She is doing fantastic! Things are looking great!

Update Feb. 18th, 11:00 a.m. - It’s a possibility that Maddie might have Pneumonia.  :( She might have to stay for the full 4 days.   We are about to go see her.  The Dr. isn’t 100% sure, they are treating it like it is, but its still up in the air.  She isn’t in the ICU though so that is a good thing.  They did say we could hold her this time though. We are happy about that.

Bryan: im writing a script to move data from multiple tables in mysql to a single table in mssql on a different machine…. I was about to finish the final piece and realised that running a mssql insert command with a mysql subquery in the insert query would not work how i would hoped.. my original planing was just to do an insert with a select subquery. like i was moving data from tables to another table in the same database.
mind you im using mysql and mssql, that is not a typo

Brian: wow.

that sounds like not fun.

Bryan: i was so sure it was going to work until i got down to the line where i was writing the commit and i was getting ready to type mssql_query and thought… oh i have to run mysql_query first… wait its a subquery in the mssql query… shit… i need to rethink this

Brian: Are you doing this through PHP?

Bryan: yea

Brian: this should be easy mode then. Grab all the data you need to move from one table, store it in variables, then use those variables to do the inserts for the other db table.

Bryan: well yea thats what im going to do
but i was not thinking and thought im just pulling data from here and sticking it here i dont need to parse the data and redo send it i can just move it.
iv spent the last 20 min making a query to get data this thing is huge
and it works how i want it

Brian: *cough* thats what she said *cough*

Bryan:It parses strings in the database and selects parts instead of me getting the entire string, exploding it to an array and then grabing the keys i want
it does it all from the select though and its doing it through a join
its bad ass
my epeen grew 6cm

Brian: lmao
but with the way the economy is, it actually is just inflated 6cm. It will deflate shortly.

Bryan: now if i could get an mssql query to run that would connect to another server to mysql and get data and insert it… i would have stabbed someone in the kitchen through 2 walls and my metal desk with my epeenage

Brian: Get to work. I just want to see the stabbing.

Bryan: Man gets stabbed by Manhood as a result of Owning so hard, news at 11

Brian: I can see it now… first it starts rumbling… then you divide by 0 and your epeen shoots through your pants, piercing your metal desk like a hot knife through butter. Two walls put up little resistance as your epeen rips a hole through space and time and spackle. Drew, mindlessly grabbing coffee before going back to his desk and a beligereant caller whom he left babbling away, suddenly feels the rumble and just as he turns to face the wall, your manhood rips him a new hole. Right in the pooper.

Bryan: meh… id imagine it would rip him a new pooper, the power level of such a force would be well over 9000

Brian: over 9000?!

Bryan: over 9000.
